ULTRAsomething > Thanks to Karen, who (wo)manned my DMC-LX2 "point-and-shoot" camera, we finally have a photographic record of me donning my favorite outdoor fashion -- the Mustang Integrity Suit.
ULTRAsomething > The best thing about putting on the Mustang Integrity Suit is what comes next -- jumping into the bow of a Zodiac and cruising around Howe Sound and the Straight of Georgia. Dead ahead is the Lions Gate Bridge, with downtown Vancouver off to the right.
ULTRAsomething > Point Atkinson Lighthouse photographed from a Zodiac off the point in West Vancouver.
ULTRAsomething > The Lions as shot from the Zodiac in the middle of Howe Sound. Because of my telephoto lens, there's no way to get a feel for just how high this peak is -- unless you consider that it's nearly June and that snow will still be there for at least another month.
ULTRAsomething > King (or is it Queen?) of the hill sits atop a rock near Christie Islet off the coast of Anvil Island in the Howe Sound. This is the reason I brought the telephoto lens.
ULTRAsomething > Slobbering seal near Christie Islet in Howe Sound. By the way, getting crisply focused telephoto shots from a Zodiac that's bobbing about in the waves is not as easy as you might think.
ULTRAsomething > There may be zero artistic merit to this photo, but I felt a certain kinship with the bird in the middle...
ULTRAsomething > "Pier? I don't need no stinkin' pier." A fishing boat is somewhat ominously moored off the coast of Hutt Island, northwest of Bowen Island in Howe Sound.
Thanks to Karen, who (wo)manned my DMC-LX2 "point-and-shoot" camera, we finally have a photographic record of me donning my favorite outdoor fashion -- the Mustang Integrity Suit.
